Volvo Group Telematics (VGT) is part of Volvo IT and is a global organization within the Volvo Group providing telematics off-board services. Volvo Group Telematics enables and accelerate customer-oriented off-board telematics service development and delivery.
Volvo Group Telematics supports the Volvo Group whilst the WirelessCar brand is used to support external customers in the automotive car OEM segment, such as BMW, Audi and Volvo Cars
Support and Administration
Support and Administration (S&A) is part of Service operation function within VGT. Primary responsibility of S&A is to manage global application support by taking care of incidents and requests. The team also follows a well-defined process to ensure quality delivery as per SLA and cost in line with contract.
Application Support Technician
The Application Support technician carries out 2nd line support and is responsible for providing support services to our customers and users according to the Service Level Agreement. This requires communication with different global sites and departments as well as external customers, suppliers and partners. The application support personnel reports to the Support & Admin Line Manager, who is part of the team.
Main responsibilities
- Support customers by handling incidents and requests
- Analysing and resolving incidents
- Identifying potential solution for the defects
- Knowledge management by documenting and sharing knowledge
- Status communication to customers and stakeholders.
- Provide improvement suggestions to make delivery better
- Participate in maintenance and deployment activities.
General Profile
As a person you need to be analytical, problem solving, team player and service-minded attitude. You are expected to be self-driven and ready to take new challenges. It is also absolute necessary that you are fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Experience in all or most of the following areas:
Oracle 10/11, SQL
Unix/Linux
Knowledge on handling Java/JBOSS based application
- Working experience with Application support is an advantage
- Customer focus and process knowledge
- Collaboration mind-set within and across teams
Good English communication skill
