Major responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the Data Warehouse development, maintenance and improvement in the AGA China data center. It includes all aspects of ETL and OLAP and report development. Constant availability and improvement of the AGA China Data Warehouse is the function of this position.

- Design, develop and deploy Business Intelligence environments for increased report functionality.
- Upgrade/maintenance of servers throughout the BI/DW.
- Act as the "Local Expert" in all matters regarding to Data Warehouse availability providing final level local support and user trainings.
- Troubleshoot, identify and solve problems with the Data Warehouse and liaise with users to have it corrected if necessary.
- Take charge of all access/configuration of Data Warehouse user accounts.
- Ensure the Data Warehouse has appropriate backups in case of emergency.
- Track all licenses throughout the AGA China DW and ensure they are kept up to date.
- Plan and execute a performance tuning on the BI/DW environments.

Qualifications:

- Degree in a technical discipline preferred.
- Prior experience or skill in the following will be necessary, Linux, Shell Script, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, ETL, Data Mining, OLAP Cube and Report development, database performance tuning.
- Prior experience or skill in the following will be well regarded, Informatica, Kettle, Cognos, SPSS, PostgreSQL / Greenplum, perl, Python, Hadoop MapReduce.
- Excellent verbal and written understanding of English.
- Problem solving mentality.
- Keenness and willingness to learn.
