Job Summary:

This position is concerned with review of customer specifications with the appropriate selection, pricing and application of Cameron Compression Systems products. The incumbent is responsible for the commercial, as well as technical content of proposals. In this regard, the incumbent must interface directly with the customer or field sales as well as a variety of Cameron personnel, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, Aftermarket, Procurement and Field Sales.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. The product line involving the Engineer is highly customized centrifugal compressor for air and air like gases. All machines are high speed, state-of-the-art, technically sophisticated products requiring intensive mechanical and aerodynamic input to meet every competitive capacity, operating efficiency, cost and delivery requirements.
2. The Engineer determines compressor size, performance, price (within predetermined limits) and accessories to best meet customer requirements.
3. This position must analyze the customer specifications to establish that they can either be met or need to be accepted, as well as to establish alternate offerings which may be an improvement of customer specifications or more competitive.
4. In selection of the machine, the Engineer determines the compressor itself, gas sealing systems, motor and turbine drivers, control systems, heat exchangers and other accessories. Also, the current capability and time requirements of the Engineering and
5. Manufacturing Departments are considered in relation to meeting desired delivery dates.
6. In preparation of proposals, the Engineer must have a mastery of numerous technologies in order to interpret the customers' specifications. The Engineer then evaluates product costs, potential liabilities and the profitability of the order, if obtained. Customer terms of sale must be further reviewed to be sure they meet Cameron Compression Systems requirements. All work is performed under the supervision of the
7. Product Manager.
8. The Engineer assists the product manager in marketing efforts such as preparation of price book information and written information on the products to acquaint sales personnel to the products, the market and the competition.
9. The incumbent must make contact with outside vendors to obtain quotations on auxiliary or ancillary equipment included in the Cameron Compression Systems and customer specifications.
10. In order to develop accurate quotations, the Engineer must be knowledgeable in basic company equipment systems and their effect on auxiliary systems.
11. The incumbent assists the Product Manager and Account Managers by being the contact point for the Field Sales personnel at times when the product managers are away from the office on business trips. The liaison allows a continuity of the factory marketing efforts on machine proposals.
12. The Engineer may be required to make a limited number of field trips for direct calls on customers. This could include new machine negotiations or associated engineering meetings with customers or current orders.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical/Electronic Engineering (graduate course work or Master of Science Degree in a technical discipline preferred) or equivalent relevant analytical or design experience.
2. Five year related experience required
3. Innovative, responsible, good communication skills, leadership aptitude
4. Fluent in Both English and Mandarin.
