Job Responsibilities

Successful candidate will report to China FAE Director and will be located in Shanghai. Responsibilities include:

l Review customers’ designs of biometric applications for fingerprint sensor on handsets, tablets, and PCs on Android and Windows systems.

l Assist customers, on-site and remotely in integrating and debugging fingerprint sensor based hardware, device drivers, and biometric applications with the platform hardware and operating systems software.

l Candidate will be highly proficient in the Synaptics technology and will promote those solutions that best support the needs of the customer and Synaptics.

l Advise customers on the best method and processes of such integration and conformance testing.

l Effectively communicate the end customer’s test requirements and provide feedback so that these requirements are effectively implemented by our QA and operations team

l Assist marketing and engineering teams on new product definitions and designs taking into consideration customer feedback on current implementations.

l Review customer Statements of Work (SOW) for completeness and technical feasibility.

l Report on competitive products and identify significant market trends.

l Publish software documentation and other documents including application notes, user's manuals device errata, technical articles, and design guides.

Qualifications/Requirements/Knowledge:

· BSEE or equivalent with 7 or more years of industry experience in mobile software applications engineering or field applications engineering of semiconductors for mobile phones

· Considerable programming experience in Java, Objective-C, or C++

· Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance analysis preferred

· Deep technical knowledge of mobile application development (Android, iOS, etc.)

· Domain knowledge in technology trends, mobile phones, tablets, PCs, semiconductors, carriers, and product management

· Attention to detail

· Estimate 25% to 50% travel required

Required/Preferred Skills:

· Pro-active “get-it-done” personality with ability to influence people

· Excellent communicator with strong writing skills; must be experienced with creating presentations, sales tools, technical documentation, training, whitepapers, collateral, etc.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and English.

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, parallel projects to deadline

· Must have passion for success and winning
