Sales Engineer – Corning Reactor Technologies/for North China Region

Corning Advanced-Flow Reactors (AFR) Technologies is looking for qualified individual to join AFR China team. This individual will be located at Changzhou at first year and base at Beijing from 2nd year. He will be responsible for executing regional commercial strategies, driving regional sales growth to meet business objectives with the support of the regional application engineering, regional marketing, and global product engineering teams:

- Develop detailed customer / sales plans for North China region
- Lead all aspects of sales / order management process to meet sales targets in the region
- Resolve customer issues, facilitate responsiveness, and customer satisfaction

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Develop detailed customer / sales plans North China
- Develop and lead marketing activities in region, introduce and educate the AFR technology to the potential customers
- Develop account sales budget; Identify opportunities and risks
- Develop customer plans and strategies, and optimize ongoing sales
- Actively manage complexity at customer projects

Lead all aspects of sales / order management process to meet sales targets
- Understand customer requirements - Identify, assess and prioritize opportunities
- Execute the customer plan in alignment w/product plan
- Ensure satisfactory payment performance
- Collect/synthesize market information, and communicate with respective teams
- Get PO and meet the sales targets

Resolve customer issues facilitate responsiveness, and customer satisfaction
- Respond to customer requests
- Ensure quality/service issue resolution
- Develop actionable and measurable satisfaction improvement plans
- Continually increase customer satisfaction.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor degree (with 10+ years experience) or master degree (with 5+ years experience) in applied chemistry, or chemical engineering, or a related field
- Currently at a sales or commercial position is a must
- Very familiar and connected well with the chemical industry in the region is a must
- Industrial process synthesis, plant reactor operating experience a plus
- Experience as an application engineer or technical sales a plus
- Knowledge or experience with process development in pharmaceutical, fine-chemicals a plus

Required Skills
- Strong technical background in applied chemistry, process synthesis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and in Mandarin are “must”
- Outstanding interpersonal, telephone, presentation skills are “must”.
- Good cross functional team communication skill. Experience in multiple team work.
- Strong problem solving skills, and independent execution skills
- Ability / willingness to travel
