Business Analyst, Senior Consultant – Healthcare Industry

A Sr. Consultant, Business Analysis, contributes to and owns portions of the customer engagement process including relationship building and maintenance, stakeholder identification and needs assessment. This role facilitates requirements gathering, analysis and management, as well as creation of the BA project and communications plans. This role contributes to the creation of quality measures and the tracking of the same. This role is responsible for facilitating the identification and communication of risks and issues that may require changes to plans or scope. The Sr. Consultant role provides enhanced contributions with and without supervision, demonstrates formalized knowledge of many BA techniques, and guides/mentors all lower levels of analysts in daily work. This role also includes activities that will help the practitioner begin to manage business analyst team in the manager role.
A Business Analyst must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and must have the ability to effectively bridge the gap between the business and IT organizations. A Business Analyst must possess the ability to quickly adapt and contribute to solution design across a broad range of industries.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Contributes to and has secondary ownership of project approach development, including communication plan and approval acquisitions.
? Owns the stakeholder identification, analysis, mapping and documentation processes.
? Assumes partial leadership of customer relationship management, including responsibility for stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution.
? Contributes to business case assessment, development and documentation.
? Owns requirements traceability and structuring capability, ensuring traceability is complete, thorough, and communicated appropriately across requirements and subsequent activities.
? Participates in change control process and requirements management.
? Identifies and facilitates communications and meetings regarding risks, issues and appropriate responses
? Participates in determining solution performance metrics and learns how to perform measurements and analysis of data. Partially owns team metrics quality.
? Fully conversant with techniques and ability to recognize gaps and collaborate with others to drive results, as well as the recognition and communication of opportunities for improvement.
? Leads the transfer of functional requirements to development and test team members
? Leads the test execution of delivered requirements
? Shows ability to acquire additional knowledge on project, to think analytically, and takes initiative in engaging team and customers with critical questions.
? Crafts a business analysis and or analysis work breakdown structure (WBS) for Analyst-level roles and self, demonstrating and understanding of standard and non-standard tasks for specific types of analysis activities.
? Leads peer review sessions and guides other roles through quality improvements and education, owning the enforcement of quality attributes in requirements delivery.
? Leads strategic thinking and develops understanding of the healthcare industry and applicable technology solutions
Minimum Requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
? Bachelor's degree in business or information technology or equivalent experience
? 5+ years of experience in healthcare, preferably in the consulting industry
? A deep and comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry in China
? Excellent communications skills
? Fluent in both English and Mandarin
? Ability to travel

? Excellent written verbal and oral communication skills
? Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills
? Proven ability to identify and communicate project issues and risks
? Cultivates customer relationships with project counterparts, and in some cases with senior client managers
? Proven ability to communicate effectively with partners and customers
Abilities
? Ability to mentor and support the learning of other lower-level resources
? Good time management and organizational skills
? Demonstrated experience contributing to the creation and execution of project plans
? Proven knowledge of the content and purpose of project communications plans
? Demonstrated ability to apply BA knowledge independently
? Leadership ability such that they can direct work on some parts of requirements delivery
? Ability and willingness to mentor lower-level resources
? Understands basics of ROI delivery, and how to map financial investment with solution options
