Position Description & Responsibilities
o Work with the product management and development teams to translate business strategies and requirements into solutions.
o Develop prototype code to validate architectural design decisions, ensuring maintainability, performance, security, scalability and time to market.
o Familiar with client side framework and server side framework, services and integration-tier development.
o Portlet development using Java and/or other language to JSR specification.
o Establish coding standards for all new development on the Liferay Enterprise platform.

Qualifications
o BS or MS in computer science or equivalent.
o 3+ years enterprise level web application development (Java, JSP, Servlet, Struts, Javascript, Web Services, Spring, Hibernate).
o Understanding of web application server technologies, including open-source technologies.
o Solid web design and development experience.
o Can identify and apply typical J2EE design patterns
o Previous experience in Internationalization & localization a plus.
o Ability to work in a very dynamic, flexible and creative environment.
o Driven self-starter and a team player.
o Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
o Good verbal & written English communication skills.
