Oracle VM
Oracle VM for x86 is a free server virtualization and management solution that makes enterprise applications easier to deploy, manage, and support. Oracle! VM provides benefits beyond server consolidation to directly address the growing operational expenses associated with enterprise applications. This new version includes many improvements to simplify and automate network and storage configuration, and includes new policies to deliver application resource flexibility.
Oracle VM is an enterprise class virtualization solution based on the Xen hypervisor, and a key component of Oracle's desktop to datacenter strategy. Oracle VM can create large, scalable, reliable, datacenter and cloud computing environments that are readily managed with Oracle VM Manager or Oracle Enterprise Manager. Oracle VM supports both Oracle and non-Oracle applications and offers customers scalable, low-cost server virtualization backed by Oracle's world-class support.

Oracle Linux
Our global team contributes to Open Source projects and promotes the adoption of Linux at Oracle and in the industry in general. Oracle has a longstanding commitment to the success of Linux, with the first commercial database on Linux in 1998 and the formation of the Linux Engineering team in 2002. The Linux And Virtualization group began as a team of kernel hackers who worked to make Linux perform better under Oracle workloads. Open source development continues, but the group has grown from those small beginnings to encompass QA, performance, testing and support for enterprise Linux customers. With the announcement of the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel, Oracle is now the market leader for cutting edge enterprise Linux deployment.

GROUP DESCRIPTION
Oracle's Linux and Virtualization team covers Linux, Desktop and Server virtualization. Among our completely open products include Oracle Linux, Oracle VM Server for x86 and Oracle VM VirtualBox. Our proprietary products are Sun Ray, Oracle VM Manager, and Oracle Secure Global Desktop. Our group began as a team of Linux kernel hackers who worked to make Linux perform better under Oracle workloads, and our core focus remains on developing open source products and improving the stability and performance of the OS. Today, Oracle is a well established and trusted source of Linux expertise, and close integration between Oracle product and Linux kernel experts enables greater accuracy in problem diagnosis and resolution. Oracle recently announced the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel, a stable mainline based Linux kernel which installs on Oracle Linux 5, and recommends that all Oracle products be deployed with this kernel. Oracle Linux is looking Linux enthusiasts to join our rapidly growing Linux development team. Enjoy debugging Linux and writing patches? Oracle's Linux team is looking for engineers who are interested in debugging and patching the Linux operating system. Our team is dedicated to ensuring enterprise quality performa! nce from Linux and providing quick response to pressing Linux issues. Much of our work is customer-driven, though it does not often involve direct interaction with customers. The main focus of our development revolves around the Linux kernel, Xen, the standard C libraries and OracleVM server virtualization suite. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills are essential to break down the complex issues we see involving OS and process interaction. In addition, our developers are encouraged to work on and contribute to open source development projects.
Debug and patch the Linux kernel, Xen Hypervisor, and work on Open Source projects with Oracle's Linux sustaining team. Debug and patch the Oracle VM Manager and work with a large-scale enterprise Linux distribution.

With Linux's surge in popularity, our team is dedicated to ensuring enterprise quality performance from Linux and providing quick response to pressing Linux issues. Much of our work is customer-driven, though it does not often involve direct interaction with customers. The main focus of our development revolves around the Linux kernel, Xen, the standard C libraries and OracleVM manager. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills are essential to break down the complex issues we see involving OS and process interaction. In addition, sustaining group engineers are encouraged to work on and contribute to open source development projects.

Kernel Developer
