JOB SCOPE

The position reports to the Technical Sales Consulting Manager for APAC Region and the Global Practice Lead. This is a pre-sales job, with responsibility for supporting sales opportunities with new prospects and existing customers. While primarily working with the sales team, the job also involves close interaction with regional sales and marketing management and the Line of Business team consisting of product management, product marketing, product development, and professional services.

The core industry served is: CPG including Food and Beverage and/or Chemical, Oil, and Gas


The successful candidate will also be part of a global team of TSCs who collaborate on a professional, technical, and industry basis. Aside from primary regional focus, they may be called on to support global opportunities in other regions.


The job is primarily customer facing and requires a desired balance of professional pre-sales skills, technology application to solve operational user requirements, and industry knowledge of our served market.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary

·Provide the Pre-Sales services required by the Sales Team pursuing opportunities through the opportunity lifecycle stages

·Be Subject Matter Expert of the assigned Wonderware/Avantis/IntelaTrac branded products Portfolio

·Be a Subject Matter Expert in the industries and processes of our prospects and customers

·Plan and execute opportunity assessments, site visits, and interviews of potential users of the solution

·Be technical and application content author and/or editor for RFI and RFP responses

·Demonstrate solution capabilities, functions, features, in context of customer needs

·Collaborate with delivery on sizing and estimation based on our solutioning process

·Support infrastructure specification (hardware, system software, 3rd party components)

·Convey benefits analysis, value propositions, business cases, solution mapping

·Work with Partners as necessary, including consultants, system integrators, 3rd party hardware and software vendors

·Maintain opportunity information regarding pre-sales in sales force automation tool


Secondary as applicable

·Enable new TSCs and sales people per our Enablement Process

·Support company events (Internal Conference and User Conference)

·Attend trade shows, expos, and professional association events

·Present at seminars

·Present on webinars

·Author best-practice documents, white-papers, web content, as required

·Work with Product Management and Product Marketing on new-product launches, sales campaigns, and customer input sessions

·Create and maintain tools of the trade, including customized solution demonstrations, field presentations, workshop agendas, etc.

·Sales and partner training for updates and new products

·How the solution architecture relates to customer requirements

·How each product is configured and can be customized

·How a solution lives within the customer’s IT infrastructure and governance practice

·How to execute use-cases on Capability Demonstration Platform as part of an engagement (demonstrations)

REQUIREMENTS

Critical

·Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience in the Pre-Sales profession for a technology based company

·Language- Fluent English speaking and writing plus appropriate regional language

·Minimum 5 years verifiable experience with product-based software solutions in the categories required

·Ability to travel up to 50% of work days. This travel is to assigned countries in the region

·Can discuss, give examples, and self-assess on the three areas of competency stated in the previous section

·Have a positive and confident temperament and willingness to develop and grow where there may be shortcomings in competencies or experience


Important

·Has performed solution engineering with a software development, system integration company, or end-user; preferably using Wonderware/Avantis/IntelaTrac branded products. Will consider competitive equivalents

·Computer knowledge to set up demonstration machines with proper setting on environment, including Microsoft Windows, VMWare or equivalent, and networking

·Programming skills and aptitude to learn new products

·Has prepared and given comprehensive and impressive solution presentation regardless to the size of audience
