Position: Security Manager
School Section: Whole School
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Qualifications: University Diploma or above

JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Description / Working Relationships
The Security Manager, working under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, ensures the safety of all students on the Keystone campus. This is the most important function of the Security Manager. The safety of adults is a close second to this primary function, followed by the security of all Keystone property. The Security Manager is expected to monitor the security operations, implement security policies, regulations, rules, and norms and make sure, as stated above, that the environment in school is safe for students, employees, and visitors.
The Security Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Establishing and implementing the security management system.
2. Supervising the implementation of the security rules and regulations.
3. Undertaking the annual risk analysis of the school, and conducting security evaluations.
4. Being responsible for the security operation, fire control and safe transportation on campus.
5. Making security plans for all kinds of school activities and supervising the implementation of these.
6. Keeping track of different events and incidents, as well as valuating incidents and determining the course of action in emergencies.
7. Creating emergency response procedures, and formulating emergency handling reports and preventive measures.
8. Being responsible for department personnel evaluation, management and training.
9. Being responsible for the security contractor management, supervision and inspection.
10. Being responsible for the management of fire control, making fire control plans, and organizing fire drills.
11. Being responsible for access control.
12. Liaising with local government authorities regarding security and fire-related issues.
13. Protecting the School's assets and people from invasion and harm.
14. Maintaining and updating a property loss and prevention program.
15. Providing other supports to the office as needed.
16. Performing other duties as assigned from time to time.

Keystone promises to be a unique and exciting school option for families in China.The school will serve students, grades one through 12, with a bilingual curriculum in the primary years and more intensive instruction in English as students progress through the program. Keystone will include a boarding school option in Grades Seven and Eight, and will require boarding in Grades 10-12.

Keystone's academic program will be international in scope, with a central curriculum thread that focuses on Chinese identity, language, culture, and history.
