Day-to-Day Responsibilities
· Manages a team of SE Managers and SEs that specialize in pre-sales activities of Companys products.
· The primary function of this position is to direct groups of System Engineers, Solution Architect and SE Managers in territorial, partner-specific, customer-specific or project specific areas.
· Has a general knowledge of SAN/IP Networking technology, but concentrates on strategic management of entire System Engineering groups, evaluating and setting policies and directions for the group.
· Helps set and drive corporate company policies.
· This role will have ownership and involvement in multiple GTMs Direct, OEM, and Channel & GSIs.
· The position will support all specific business groups SP, Enterprise, CSPs in the geography by deploying dedicated or shared SE resources.
· Ability to articulate the strengths and benefits of Companys value proposition, technology and key products. Lead and coach SEM Team to accomplish key objectives
· Maintain pipeline of potential SEM and SE recruits
· Create and execute development plans for SEM and SE Talent
· Maintain close communication links between field SE team and SAM/RSM/RSD/VP Sales
· Analyze the local market opportunities and develop technical communication plans to generate incremental opportunities
· Support the regional PR activities.
· Play the role of a key spokesperson for Company at conferences, seminars and media events
· On-going SEM performance reviews with annual report Definition and assessment of SEM/SESIPs
· Manage the utilization of the SE Solutions/PoC Labs, field demonstration facilities and demo equipment
· Develop and manage key technical relationships with OEMs and customers in the region
· Work closely with sales management to achieve revenue goals
Requirements:
· Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent with 8-10 years related technical sales industry experience and 2-3 years management experience.
· Develop team members capabilities in support of individual career goals and team objectives
