An Industry Leader in Toys is looking to recruit an experienced Senior LEAN Manager to be based in their Shenzhen office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced LEAN professional to help establish and implement new processes and gain strong exposure within a leading global company.
As the Senior LEAN Manager you will report to the General Manager and be fully responsible for driving LEAN implementation at suppliers and focus on supplier development through collaboration across other Procurement and Quality departments. You will facilitate LEAN implementation at suppliers, encourage and implement LEAN culture and methods at the suppliers. Part of the role will be to train suppliers and internal staff in the LEAN tools and methods and encourage managers to drive the LEAN agenda. Drive lean projects at the suppliers to achieve target savings and identify potential opportunities for improvement. Align local LEAN practice with company standards and drive waste elimination processes. You will also be responsible for reviewing supplier KPIs and their improvement progress.
Please note this role is based in Shenzhen
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be degree educated in Engineering, Manufacturing or related and must have gained a minimum of 7 years experience in LEAN implementation at production shop floor. Candidates must have gained experience in MNCs and have excellent project management skills. Candidates must have a proven track record in similar positions and have experience of productivity increase/cost reduction and leadtime/quality improvement projects. You will have excellent communication skills and able to build strong relationships with suppliers. Strong negotiation and analytical skills as well as strong influencing skills and coaching skills. Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin are essential. Travel will be required in this position.
