Profile:

? 3-5 years of Experience in technical support with a minimum of 1-2 in providing Desk-side Support.
? Excellent Knowledge on supporting hardware(Dell, HP, IBM, Acer etc) and desktop OS and applications
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deal with client users
? Ability to solicit and convey moderately complex information and make recommendations
? Experience in providing voice technical support for enterprise users
? Experience in providing multi language voice support (Mandarin, English, etc)

Responsibility:
? Support Home users, Remote users and Corporate users.
? Upgrade or replaces hardware and software systems, which includes the setup of workstations and the installation and configuration of software and hardware.
? Perform customer services related to equipment and systems products by troubleshooting problems, resolving problems, interfacing with vendors for in-warranty returns, installing software and entering resolutions into the remedy problem-tracking database.
? Mentor new desktop technicians
? Provide voice support, E-Mail support and remote technical support to all the end users.
? Handle phone calls during office hours & during non business hours.
? Troubleshooting the entire desktop, laptop, VPN, Hand held related problems and contribute to the Knowledge base of the team for effective incident closure.
? Candidate should be willing to work in a 24 x 7 environment
? Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Willing to work on call when ever required
? Perform Vendor management as an when required


Skills:
? Excellent expertise in troubleshooting hardware and operating system related issues for Desktops and Laptops.
? Excellent troubleshooting skills on Windows operating systems, desktop applications, LAN troubleshooting.
? Expertise in installing, configuring and troubleshooting printer and print related issues.
? Expertise in Trouble shooting and configuring Remote access, VPN, Wireless routers, Cable modem.
? Expertise in Shrink wrapped products like Microsoft office, MS Project, Visio, Adobe suite, Dream weaver, Outlook.
? Knowledge on antivirus client software installations, patch and hot-fix installation.
? Knowledge in Windows active directory, domain administration, Microsoft exchange.
? Excellent troubleshooting skills on Outlook 2003/ 2007/2010

Other Tools: Citrix, Norton Ghost, DELL diagnostics tools.
? DELL Hardware Troubleshooting for desktop, laptops and other PC peripherals.
