Position Summary: The Technical Support Analyst is responsible for the simple to complex configuration of software, hardware, and network connectivity for internal desktop systems, laptops, and printers. Daily activities will include identification and resolution of a wide range of simple to complex projects, including hardware, software and connectivity related issues including upgrades and implementations while working within the requirements of a metrics driven Service Level Agreement.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Seasoned technician with wide range of desktop applications, hardware components, network connectivity, and proprietary software support experience.
2. Configures, installs, moves, upgrades, tracks, tests and repairs hardware, software and peripheral components.
3. Collaborates with technical staff in US offices to establish and enforce standards for desktops.
4. Works with technical staff in US to maintain connectivity with services hosted in US datacenters.
5. Responsible for ongoing maintenance of File server and backups.
6. Tracks and documents troubleshooting efforts, and resolutions for future reference.
7. Alerts management to outages, priority issues, recurring problems and patterns.
8. Creates or revises existing technical documentation and procedures as required.
9. Ability to lift 35 lbs unassisted.
10. Other duties as assigned by Dept Manager.
Education:
BA/BS degree in a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education certification, and experience.
Experience:
4-5 years of recent, related experience.
Qualifications:
Must possess excellent customer service, communication skills and time management skills. Organized and deadline driven with the ability to track multiple tasks simultaneously. Adapts well in a team oriented, professional, fast-paced, dynamic environment. In depth understanding of Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010. Experience with desktop support, application, network connectivity and IT security best practices required.
Special Skills and Certifications:
CompTIA A+ and Security+ certification required. Network+ or current MCSE certifications strongly preferred.
