Position: Facilities Service Manager

Reports to: Director of Building & Facilities

JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Description/Working Relationships
The Service Manager reports to the Director of Building&Facilities. He/She performs service duties and supervises and coordinates activities of the service team to ensure that all the service work covering the area of the housekeeping/landscaping/set up is completed in an efficient manner, satisfy the requirements and exceed the expectations if possible.
The Service Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manages and supervises the daily activities of the Housekeeping, landscaping and set up.
Plans, organizes and directs team members to ensure the highest degree of satisfaction.
Purchases, re-orders and maintains housekeeping, landscaping and set up supplies and inventory.
Maintains the housekeeping, landscaping and set up budget; control the daily consumptions of the supplies.
Establishes the housekeeping, landscaping and setup related procedure and standards.
Upholds the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
Communicates with teachers, students, parents and other office staff about the service related matters.
Conducts the management of the outsourced service provider.
Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
Manages helpdesk.
Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.
Provides other supports to the operations office as needed.
Performs any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Ability to remain calm under pressure
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to change
Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, students and parents
Positive attitude with a lot of patience
Good computer skills, good knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and Chinese word processing software
Good communication skills
Honesty and reliability
Capacity to work independently and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
University Degree
Advanced knowledge of the housekeeping, landscaping and set up process and procedures.
Proven 2 years’ experience in the field of service management supervising 15+ employees.
Proven excellence in customer service.
Proficiency in both oral and written English.

Keystone promises to be a unique and exciting school option for families in China.The school will serve students, grades one through 12, with a bilingual curriculum in the primary years and more intensive instruction in English as students progress through the program. Keystone will include a boarding school option in Grades Seven and Eight, and will require boarding in Grades 10-12.
