RESPONSIBILITY

Technical Field Service (TFS) ensures the Field Service Operations have efficient and effective methods defined for carrying out field service activities related to assigned oOEM fleets, including associated quality plans and the methods are well-documented and readily accessible. TFS provides consultation and technical specialists on an as needed basis to address unique scopes of work requiring specialized education/training and equipment, complex problems and trouble-shooting, and situations requiring the highest level of experience. TFS is responsible for ensuring an experience feedback and continuous improvement process is in place. TFS also provides training to operational personnel on field service methods

The scope of responsibility for Technical Field Service is all other OEM (oOEM) fleets in North America and the GE and WH fleets globally.

2 TASKS

? Develop an information system and process to capture, manage, and disseminate information related to field service methodology, including but not limited to open/close procedures, inspection and test (I&T) plans, experience feedback, lessons learned and training. The system must be accessible globally, and be flexible to expand capacity & functionality.
? Develop open/close procedures, I&T plans and other necessary documents to define the processes for carrying out various field service scopes of work
? Support Field Service Operations with specialized services
? Support Field Service Operations with analysis and resolution of complex technical situations and problems
? Provide technical guidance or advice as needed to other functions
? Make presentations to customers as needed
? Support Field Service tendering process as needed
? Monitor outage scope of work and schedules to anticipate potential needs of Field Service Operations
? Participate in lessons learned activities
? Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into methods and procedures
? Maintain standards for cycle time and execution hours related to equipment and scopes of work. Drive the process to develop short cycle times and execution hours
? Provide input to functions developing new methods and support development of innovative methods to improve competitiveness
? Organize regular exchange of experience with other TSS product and execution centers
? Actively participate in the handover process from oOEM retrofits to ensure continuity into service of the total oOEM power train
? Develop and carry out training and certification programs



JOB PROFILE

Education: Bachelors in Engineering

Experience
? 10 Years working in Power Generation industry in Field Service related to GE or WH equipment
? Minimum of 3 years in a Supervisor/Management role in a technical function, including resource management
? Experience in power generation operations
Skills
? Managing craft labour in Power Generation field service activities
? Providing technical direction in Power Generation field service activities
? Developing written procedures
? Mechanical and/or electrical commissioning
? Working with PDM systems
? Structured trouble-shooting
? Structure root cause analysis (RCA)
? Developing effective presentations and presenting to groups
? Resource management
? Forward thinking and creative
? Self-starter, must be able to work with limited oversight or direction
? Ability to work in a diverse work environment
? Confidence and composure under pressure
? Good interpersonal skills
? Ability to travel up to 20% per year.
? Able to sell ideas
