1. REPORTING LINE
Report directly to the local head of sub-function;reports functionally to the lead engineer.

2. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
General: Comply with the quality and EHS rules from the project, business, sector and corporate within the own area of activity.
Specific to the Engineering Function: The Piping Engineer has the techinical and time schedual responsibility for the calculation and specification and technical inquiry of pipes and values as assigned by the Piping Lead Engineer.
Provide the following technical piping procurement documentation:
Partcipate to the elaboration of the procurement strategy for piping and valves.
Negotiate and agree with the suppliers the techinical solution of the supply and reflect in the Equipment Specifications and in the notes of the supplier's equipment start meeting.
Comply with the forecast dates for information & drawings submission. Provide information to prepare the flat-file to follow-up the piping design progress upon request by L.E.
Check & comment external documents( Partners, Sub Contractors,..) and manage & check the interface date(type, dimensions, location,..)
Coordinate his job with the other team members and report to the Project Authorities and/or the Line Mnagement.
Inform Piping Lead Engineer of any difficulties regarding adaptation of manpower according to the needs.
Additional tasks & responsibilities are also defined in the Plant Business process maps and relates instructions.

3. QUALIFICATION, COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:
Education

Minimum Engineering Degree appropriates to the technical field involved of long years of relevant experience.
Specific knowledge and skills
Know and apply the design methods and rules for piping and valves including a good understanding over the fences!

Ability to communicate verbal and in written English.
