Report to:
The Head of Mechanical Equipment & Systems with functional reporting on project or/and tender
Job Description:
Shall be responsible for the design of the cooling water systems and technical management of all subcontracts.
Main Duty:
-- Equipment will be purchased from companies specialised in this field of services. The technical management includes preparation of the specification of the required equipment to meet the expected performances of the contract, review and analysis of input data sheets, finalisation with the supplier of the technical contract. After placement of the order, supplier follow-up including co-ordination of all technical documentation to meet the contract schedule.
-- May support as well the site construction and commissioning staff and ensures experience feed-back from the projects.
-- The on time delivery of the project process engineering documentation (mainly P&ID's, system descriptions, signal exchange lists, analogue and logic diagrams, mechanical interfaces lists, electrical consumers list, and operating instructions) according to the valid work instructions, with respect to the project and contractual requirements, and Alstom Plant EHS Policy, with technical support from the Process or/and I&C Lead Engineers.
-- Shall support on request the Tender Department or the Sourcing Department to technically qualify suppliers.
Education Background:
-- Shall have at least a Bachelor Degree of Engineering
Knowledge / Experience:
Shall have at least 10 years experience in the field of power station with cooling water system knowledge and extensive understanding of key equipment.
-- Extensive Large water pumps experience is mandatory
-- Exchangers / condenser / Tanks experience
-- Basic process knowledge
