PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The role of the Store Human Resources Manager is to lead the Human Resources team to
establish and develop a business partnership with the Store Steering Group and an assigned
group of Line Managers and together build competence, deliver HR Operations, business
results and a high performance culture.
ASSIGNMENT (main responsibilities):
Business Partner-Work closely with Steering Managers on business priorities and needs
and be pro-active in identifying opportunities to support achievement of business goals
? Develop a working knowledge of business goals, performance, operations and issues
by building effective relationships with Managers and Co-workers
? Identify business and people strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and
provide advice and support via relevant PEOPLE processes to improve overall business
performance
? Develop a HR plan with quantifiable goals that supports achievement of the local and
national Business Plan
? Identify succession and talent for key positions through use of the PEOPLE Review
process
? Support the development of people within the business through the Learning
Approach
? Support the development of an environment of trust, co-operation, togetherness and
continuous learning
Change Agent-Lead and manage change processes within the business
? Identify opportunities for change to improve the business
? Initiate and/or implement effective change management in accordance with IKEA's
change processes
Co-worker Advocate-Provide support and advice to Co-workers and Line Managers
? Respond to all queries from Co-workers and Managers in an appropriate and timely
manner
? Support Line Managers and Co-workers in managing and resolving conflict
? Mediate in the Issues Resolution process as required
HR Operations-Provide relevant and effective tools, support and feedback to ensure the
effective delivery of the PEOPLE Processes.
? Coach Line Managers to conduct effective "Everyday Conversations" with Co-workers
? Implement and support relevant PEOPLE processes in accordance with IKEA's
"Working with People" framework to Attract, Develop and Inspire Co-workers
? Keep up to date with industry information, changes and trends including employment
legislation and HR best practices
HR Team-To lead and manage a competent team of PEOPLE Function specialists
? Support the development of functional specialist competence
? Provide clear direction, motivation and the environment and conditions needed for
their success
