Job Description:

Broadcom is developing solutions supporting the next generation of 3G and 4G high-speed mobile technologies. Broadcom offers a family of HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access), WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple-Access), EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution), GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) and GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) baseband processors for use in cellular handsets, PC cards and other wireless-enabled consumer electronics.

Successful candidate will be responsible for executing and coordinating test activities in the lab, develop test plans for testing RF 2G/3G on cell phone based device in addition do data analysis through debug tools, compile test results and generate test reports. Responsibilities would include test plan development, test cases execution, test case automation, debugging and reporting of issues. Experience with RF 2G/3G testing including 2G/3G specifications and RF certification and strong knowledge of digital communications systems required. Basic knowledge of programming / scripting required. Understanding of wireless communication protocols such as TDSCDMA or UMTS preferred.
The position also requires detail understanding of communications systems including both physical and upper layers, ability to evaluate wireless communications systems through lab testing, logging and handset and network log analysis manually and through post processing tools. Candidate must be able to develop test procedures, execute tests, and isolate issues accurately.
- Relevant work Experience: above 6 Years
- Education Qualifications: BS / MS in Electrical Engineering or similar with GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Responsibilities would include test plan development, test cases execution, test case automation, debugging and reporting of issues.
- Experience with RF 2G/3G testing including RF certification for WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/2G required
- Strong digital communications background
- Basic knowledge of programming / scripting required.
- Understanding of wireless communication protocols such as TDSCDMA or UMTS preferred.

Job Requirements:

Typically requires a BS degree and 9 years of experience plus required training, or an MS and 6 years of experience plus required training.
Experience with test plan development, test cases execution, test case automation, debugging and reporting of issues.
Experience with RF 2G/3G testing including RF certification for WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/2G required
Strong digital communications background
Basic knowledge of programming / scripting required.
Understanding of wireless communication protocols such as CDMA or UMTS preferred.
