The Role / Responsibilities:

The individual will be a technical expert managing one or more core sub-systems in one of our key products. This product provides workflow control, document management, reporting and data collection across the full Load Origination lifecycle for banks in areas such as Counterparty Management, Product/Facility Management, Financial Analysis, Rating, Limits etc.

- Able to convert a complex conceptual idea into a practical system through detailed consideration of requirements and constraints with Product Managers and customers
- Manage the architecture lifecycle by leading high-level and detailed designs
- Evaluate available options and tradeoffs when devising directional changes in system implementation, operation, and maintenance
- Define and execute quantifiable objectives for non-functional requirements such as Security, Performance, Code Quality, Testability, Scalability, Maintainability
- Mentor colleagues to explore, adopt and customize best practices within the industry

Qualifications:

- Minimum 8 years of experience as a core software engineer and architect with a sizable product;
- Strong knowledge of Web Standards, including HTML5, CSS/SASS, Javascript
- Strong knowledge of Server-side technologies such as Java/.Net Framework
- Strong understanding of Architecture patterns, Design patterns and OOAD
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile and Scrum)
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to be effective at all levels of the organization.
