Candidate will Candidate will play a key role in
provisioning, and supporting a multi-function, multi-platform, multi-tier,
mission-critical Java EE/WebSphere environment. Candidate must have
experience in large scale mainstream Java EE container (WebSphere v7+ preferred)
administration on UNIX (AIX and Linux preferred) using command-line (and some
GUI) utilities as well as a solid understanding of Java EE application
architecture. Candidate will split time between front-line support, problem
determination, and infrastructure engineering (including on-call, off-hours,
and weekend support) as dictated by shifting priorities and server service
levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
of the WebSphere System Administrator:

·
Design, install, configure,
update, administer, monitor, and tune WebSphere infrastructure on IBM AIX and
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES

·
IBM WebSphere v7.x

·
IBM WebSphere Commerce v7.x

·
IBM HTTPServer v7.x
(including SSL and WebSphere plug-in)

·
Provide Java EE application
deployment, and troubleshooting support for development groups

·
Problem determination using
log file and Java stack trace analysis.

·
Design, implement, and refine
wsadmin/Jython and Ant scripts in support of Java EE application deployment
and supporting resources

·
Provide scheduled off-hours and
on-call support for the above

·
Ongoing research, development
and testing of WebSphere, IBM HTTP Server, Directory Server components and
supporting products

Technical Experience Senior WebSphere System Administrator:

·
4+ years of total experience in multiple domains and proven systems
analyst experience:

·
2+ years large scale
mainstream J2EE container (WebSphere preferred) installation configuration
(with an emphasis on the use of command-line installation and configuration),
and problem resolution on Unix (AIX and Red Hat Linux preferred)

·
2+ years IBM HTTP Server v7.x
installation, configuration, and problem resolution on Unix (AIX and Red Hat
Linux preferred) including SSL & WebSphere plug-in configuration

·
Experience with Korn and Bash
command shells, scripting, and Unix utilities in support of the above

·
Thorough knowledge of the
J2EE application packaging, and deployment

·
Experience with
wsadmin/Jython scripting in support of the above

·
Experience with Wily
Introscope supporting and maintaining a large clustered MOM setup. Experience
with Oracle, Oracle Coherence, JBoss, WebMethods, Enterprise Services
Platform and Subversion desirable

·
Experience
with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) and the .NET Framework is
preferable

Education:
