职位描述

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for attaining the revenue goals of The Company's products and custom services in addition to achieving the highest possible customer satisfaction in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and identifying potential strategic alliances (business and scientific);
Responsible for ensuring that the representatives and employees of The Company have the necessary resources to build comprehensive partnerships with new customers;
Responsible for representing The Company's OEM products and services directly in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Job performance will involve a variety of business development activities including lead generation and lead follow-up activities and new business and account development in order to generate interest in the company's products and services not serviced by The Company's distributors;
Responsible for the identification, development, technical guidance, and strategic growth of key business opportunities in the molecular diagnostic and commercial molecular biology markets for OEM products and custom services;
Job performance will involve working with distributors to further develop lab product customers into commercial OEM opportunities;
Personally engage with customers, Key Opinion Leaders, and government officials in order to drive the growth of The Company's business in the regions represented;
Oversee the activity of the distributors selected by The Company to represent its "lab scale" products and work with those organizations to ensure that the distributors understand and are successfully able to communicate the company's Value Proposition across all of the Distributors' representatives;
Responsible for reporting to The Company's senior management needs for marketing materials, support and other resources needed to ensure that the laboratory products business continues to grow and that the products and distributors penetrate new and growing marketplaces. Detailed feedback from The Company's distributors and accurate forecasting of revenues and product shipments are key to success in this role;
Grow and lead a China-based business development organization consisting of sales and scientific members;
Responsible for determining key customer support requirements with an emphasis on business, scientific, and regulatory needs which must be met to close new business and maintain existing relationships;
Work to ensure that all sales and support efforts are aligned with Company objectives and customer requirements;
Seek out, identify, and present to the company's senior management potential strategic opportunities which may include technology licensing, business alliances, or the development of new competencies through which will be better equipped to serve the Chinese and global markets.

EXPERIENCE:

5+ year's sales experience with at least 2-3 years at the Sales/Business Development Manager of Director level leading and managing sales and support efforts within the scientific tools industry in China;
Thorough understanding of the science and reagent optimization related to nucleic-acid based molecular diagnostics and DNA sequencing applications;
Experience navigating the business cultures of both the USA and China, as well as bridging the gap between the two;
Demonstrated ability to build a national sales/BD organization;
Experience building key partnerships & alliances in the Chinese marketplace;
Management within companies on a rapid, sustained growth trajectory from $10M to >$50M in sales;
Proven experience in promoting both molecular biology consumables and services within the business to business environment and the sales of laboratory scale products;
Deep understanding of scientific products marketplace/industry and the research and development market in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan;
Profound knowledge and insight into the present and future of the molecular products and molecular diagnostics industries.


WORK EXPERIENCE:

Senior management-level positions within Chinese molecular diagnostics, DNA sequencing, or life science tools industry;
Experience building a sales and support infrastructure capable of keeping pace with rapidly scaling revenue and number of accounts;
Established ability to create and/or implement processes for pipeline management, forecasting, demand generation and sales best practices;
Understanding and experience with using support strategies to increase customer adoption and retention;
Prior expertise in creating a positive environment in which growth, change and success can occur in a rapidly evolving environment;
Small company experience with preferably less than $20M in revenue and managed periods of change and rapid growth;
Proven ability to determine tools, techniques and methods to support sales effort through marketing, sales tool creation and web site development;
Experience working with Distributors in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong;
ldeally, native of China, education and portion of work experience in USA, returned to China to continue career;
Understanding of both the research market, diagnostic development market and scientific product development companies in China and Taiwan a must;
Experience selling and managing support networks throughout China;
Willingness to travel within all geographic realms is a must.

Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Life Science discipline required (equivalent experience in lieu of advanced degree will be considered);

Team player and team builder. Ability to create/foster cross-functional teamwork consisting of resources from various parts of the company to enable greatest corporate and customer success.;
Ability to delegate, support and enable as appropriate;
