PROFILE
LMS Engineering Services is looking for an experienced program manager in China in order to support the ever growing demand of Automotive, Aerospace and other Mechanical Industries for first class engineering solutions in China.
This position is especially suited for experienced professionals who are looking back at a successful career in similar positions in their respective home countries and are now interested to apply their knowledge and experiences in one the most dynamic markets in the world.
Your job will include the following activities and responsibilities
? Manage & supervise engineering projects and development projects in the field of Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH), Durability or Ride & Handling
? Execute & manage projects according to the project plan, customer expectations and budget (including project planning - adaptation of the plan according to project requirements - reporting & presentations at customers)
? Perform tests and analyses in the field of NVH, Durability or Ride & Handling on-site at our customers in China or our LMS China office in Beijing
? Work with the latest LMS software (e.g. LMS Test.Lab, LMS Virtual.Lab) and test systems (e.g. LMS Scadas) and to apply state-of-the-art LMS technologies and solutions within our Engineering projects
? Work together with our multi-national project teams of test and CAE experts from different disciplines (such as NVH, Durability, Ride & Handling, Crash)
? Support the communication between our customers and the LMS offices in China, Europe and the US
? Support our business development activities in China
The location of the work will be at the LMS China office in Beijing and on-site at the customer sites. The job requires a substantial amount of traveling within China and Europe.
Desired profile
? Educational Level:
- PhD or Master degree in Vehicle Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with specialization in NVH, Structural Dynamics, Durability or Vehicle Dynamics
? Professional Experience:
- Relevant experience in Automotive or Aerospace industry in the respective fields
- Several years experience in managing & supervising development projects and leading international project teams in different locations
? The following technical competencies would be an asset
- Experience with multi-channel test sytems (ideally LMS Scadas)
- Experience with test software (ideally LMS Test.Lab or CADA-X)
- Experience with CAE software (ideally LMS Virtual.Lab)
? Specific personal competencies:
- Result-oriented way of working
- Customer-oriented mind-set and way of working
- Strong drive for excellence & continuous learning
- Able to take responsibilities and to work independently
- Initiative taking
- Good team player
- Excellent communication skills towards customers and colleagues
- Willingness and flexibility to travel within China and to Europe
? Languages:
- Good command of English in speaking, writing and reading
