Position description:
You report to Manager Supplier Delivery Assurance Asia.
As Supplier Delivery Assurance Engineer you ensure adequate capacity and flexibility throughout the supply chain are in place for suppliers under your responsibility, in order to secure procurement to the production facilities.
You assess the supplier capacity & flexibility risks and manage supplier delivery crisis in order to mitigate impact on Volvo operations.
Core responsibilities:
Monitor the capacity and flexibility in the supply chain through capacity audits (live audits and self-assessments)
Manage supplier capacity issues and drive action plans to mitigate delivery and capacity risk
Coordinate delivery crisis management and provide supply chain expertise to solve crisis
Contribute to the development of the way of working of the team
Be a key partner of Purchasing Operations groups regarding Supply Chain related issues.
Essential skills and needed experience:
University degree in engineering and/or logistic
Minimum 3 years of supply chain and/or production experience
Preferably experience from the automotive industry
Strong supply chain and crisis management skills
Fluent in English and China, additional language is a benefit
Competence required for the position:
Act with customer in mind and is dedicated to meet external and internal customer expectations
Set focused priorities to reach objectives
Provide timely information for accurate decisions
Able to handle unfamiliar tasks, using previous experiences
Be flexible and prepared to travel with short notice
