Hardware application engineer for Shanghai mobile application engineering team


Qualification

Minimum BSEE/MSEE with 3+ years experience in application engineering or hardware platform development in embedded area. Shall have experience in hardware board development including schematics development, and board bringup/debug. Knowledge in driver layer software, PCB lay out is a strong plus.

Description
Application engineer for supporting customer application on hardware area. The candidate must have Minimum BSEE/MSEE with 3+ years experience in application engineering or hardware platform development in embedded area. Shall have experience in hardware board development including schematics design, board debug, bring up and test. Knowledge in driver layer software is a plus.
In this position, the candidate will be working on customer support mostly on hardware layer for Xscale application processors. The responsibility will include but not limited to
- Support customer applications in a timely manner by phone/email/online and possibly onsite.
- customer schematics review and PCB review
- customer board bring-up debug support and power consumption analysis upon request
- Provide workaround or isolate problem then escalate to developer team
- Get customer feedback on product feature include hardware and software
- support international and domestic customers
- Provide technical training to customers

Additional qualifications include:
- Experience in ARM based processor hardware development, Smartphone or Tablet development experience will be an excellent advantage.
- Excellent communication skills
- Good Chinese and English reading/writing/speaking
- willing to travel when demanded
- Knowledge of ASM*, C, C++ programming and C-coding skills
- Knowledge of embedded systems
- Knowledge of embedded operating system (OS) architecture will be an added advantage
- Familiar with BSP/Driver for Linux would be an added advantage
