Merck is looking for an IT Business Partner who understands the business goals and priority of the organization and to ensure these are reflected in the IT strategy and proactively support and manage change to ensure that the strategy is kept in line with evolving business needs and priorities.

He/She will be responsible for business partnering and support to the project leads and ensure the integrity of system (Finance, HR and Procurement) outcomes and its’ processes (Covering entire China’s Merck Group Functions). Also contributing towards strategic planning, performance management and focused on the cost management for these systems. This position will be based at Merck Shanghai Pudong office and report directly to Head of ITBP Merck Group Functions.

The successful candidate will also need to:

1. Have experience of successfully leading IT portfolios (ERP, HR Payroll, Procurement, etc..) in large organization (Multinational)
2. Experience of all stages of the IT development lifecycle
3. Demonstrates a comprehensive breadth and depth of knowledge and experience in working in a complex project environment
4. Effective in working through others (Internal, External, Local, Regional and Global)
5. Excellent analysis and knowledge transfer skills to a proven professional level
6. A systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
7. A proactive approach with the ability to prioritize own workload within demanding schedules
8. Strong written and verbal skill (Mandarin and English)
9. Able to take ownership of problems
10. Technical Certificate, IT degree/master in any computer specialty
11. Working Experiences minimum 5 years in IT industry, preferably end user environment, currently resuming the above role will be added advantage.
