Job Description:
The Wholesale Client On-Boarding (WCOB) team is a global team with locations in major locations such as New York, Delaware, London, Bournemouth, Hong Kong and Singapore. The team functions in close partnership with Sales, Operations, Credit, Legal and Compliance to ensure efficient and timely on-boarding to the JPMorgan infrastructure. WCOB plays a critical role in introducing new clients to our organization as well as ensuring full due diligence is done with respect to new and existing relationships. This team is responsible for the enforcement of controls associated with Know Your Client (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) regulatory requirements.
The Client On-boarding Specialist is accountable for successfully on-boarding new clients for the Corporate & Investment Bank in a high quality and timely manner. The Specialist is required to oversee the on-boarding of a client through a complex internal infrastructure, and applications.
Responsibilities:
1. Verify and evaluate client information and client KYC records.
2. Ensure client records are complete and accurate.
3. Escalation point for WCOB team with key stakeholders and their clients.
4. Matrix reporting line to main WCOB Hub in Hong Kong; responsibilities to include providing team updates, MIS, and ensuring team is inline with Global Operating Model.
5. Monitor team's capacity, KPI's, and KRI's to ensure a smooth and seamless on-boarding process for our clients and front-office.
Mandatory Skills:
1. Experienced in KYC and/or Client On-boarding.
2. Strong technical skills (Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
4. Fluent reading and writing in Mandarin.
5. Adaptable, flexible and willing to work in a dynamic environment.
6. Ability to directly address conflicts and escalate issues where appropriate and communicate effectively with all levels of management.
7. Strong sense of accountability and ownership over end to end client on-boarding process.
8. Developed problem solving techniques and solutions oriented.
9. A team player who is comfortable working within a team and individually to deliver results.
10. Self starter, ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure and stress.
11. Ability to successfully navigate a complex infrastructure that involves numerous groups and individuals and "think outside of the box" for achieving results.
Qualification:
1. B.A. Degree or equivalent
2. Minimum 5-7 years' experience in financial services operations or compliance, Investment Banking, custody or client service
