Basic Qualifications
· Bachelors degree in Safety, Environmental or related field, or equivalent work experience
· 10 years minimum EH&S experience in industrial or chemical manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or demonstrated progress to achieve any equivalent Safety Engineer or Professional Certification
Experience in assessing the EHS risks using Environmental/Safety Modeling software is preferred. Previous leadership experience is preferred
Ability to Read/Write/Speak Chinese and English effectively. Understand verbal and written communications in both Chinese and English especially EHS technical Experience integrating product chemical control compliance into site and business processes
Responsibilities & Expectations
Provides leadership and direction to achieve the EH&S vision through management commitment and employee ownership.
A shared EH&S vision has been developed and is integrated into the organization.
Employees understand and exercise their decision rights regarding EH&S.
Incentive metrics are performance based (i.e. leading indicators) in addition to outcome based (i.e. trailing indicator).
Facilitates EH&S ownership by the line organization through integration of the EH&S Management System.
EH&S system elements are integrated into the line organization’s responsibilities and expectations.
Leads the development of risk assessment methods/systems for anticipating, identifying and evaluating hazards.
Reviews or manages various EIA/SA/OHA applications and other EHS compliance submittals to ensure the accuracy of the submitted information.

Ensures an effective change management process is in place.
Participates with Corp/facility leadership with the development of short and long-term EH&S objectives, targets, strategies, and measures that prioritize and mitigate risks.
Monitor and analyze emerging EHS regulatory requirements for applicability to INVISTA.
Develop compliance plans and work with sites and businesses to implement when new EHS regulations are finalized.
Ensures the development, improvement, and implementation of EHS training systems to meet Corp/facility needs utilizing either internal resources or qualified external instructors.
Ensures there is a system in place for a facility to sustain and improve performance.
Management reviews are routinely conducted and plans are adjusted as necessary.
Utilizes development plans to grow EH&S skills and knowledge.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders ( such as government official, operations, project/ engineering, legal, procurement and external consultants)
Coordinate site chemical control compliance with business Product Stewards to ensure products meeting chemical control compliance requirements.
Work with sites and business Product Stewards on product registrations and chemical reporting obligations.
