职位描述

The focus will be on developing specialty adhesives with a differentiated cost-performance balance. The successful candidate will have an aptitude and interest in building an understanding of how fundamentals of polymer science translate into practical product properties, and apply into real application.
The scientist will be expected to plan, prioritize, and conduct experimental laboratory work, interpret data, and to communicate results both orally and in written reports. Projects will require effective collaboration with other technical, commercial and marketing personnel, as well as contact with global technology team, external customers, suppliers, and universities. The ability to understand market competitiveness and benchmark Dow offerings, create value-added solution to support business growth and generate IP assets through disclosures and patent filling are critical. Good time management, prioritization, and organization skills are essential.
Requirements:
Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related field
Organic synthesis expertise, preferably with experience in polyurethanes, polyesters, and/or acrylic emulsion synthesis
0-5 year experience in industrial R&D. Experience in flexible package application preferred.
