职位描述
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (DESCRIBE THE ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, BE SPECIFIC AND CONCISE). AUTHORITY LEVEL
- Participate in developing functional specs and cost targets.
- Translate functional specifications into mechanical design requirements.
- Plan individual work and participate in preparing project plans for mechanical engineering activities.
- Develop design solutions and participate in preparing design concepts.
- Create detailed designs, analyze designs, test prototypes, and document completed designs.
- Use formal problem solving techniques to determine root causes for problems, propose solutions, and validate the solutions.
- Report status on assignments.
- Meet the objectives for specific assignments including performance, schedule, and cost.
- Prepare specifications for purchased hardware and evaluate the purchased hardware to the specification.
- Communicate designs in a form that serves the needs of downstream users and reduces the need for non-value added work.
- Use best practices including brainstorming, reviews, analysis, and testing to assure the success of assigned projects.
- Use hands-on approach for building and evaluating prototypes.
- Work effectively as a member of a team.
- Continue professional development and encourage others by setting a good example.
- Serve as a resource to review the work of others and to generate ideas in areas of expertise.
- Effectively apply advanced design analysis techniques.
- Constantly improve personal effectiveness by learning and applying best practices.
- Maintain and increase skills in the face of rapidly evolving technology.
- Use approved processes and procedures to assure the consistent quality of the development process.
- Use mechanical CAD software ( Pro/Engineer) and business productivity tools including personal computers and all relevant software.
- Other duties as required for the success of the company.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES (DESCRIBE THE NON-ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES. BE SPECIFIC AND CONCISE).
Travel to work with manufacturing sites, suppliers, and customers.
Ensure work is done according to established ISO procedures.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (STATE THE TYPE AND AMOUNT OF EDUCATION EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES SUGGESTED TO
FULLY PERFORM THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION)
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Additional professional education is preferred.
- Creativity, initiative, analytical skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills, teamwork skills and organizational skills.
- Success is progressively more difficult assignments involving mechanical engineering contributions
and team participation including at least two years at the Mechanical Engineer II level.
- Strong English & Mandarin communication skills
