POSITION TITLE
Senior Manager / Manager, Local Business Development (FMCG)
LOCATION
Guangzhou
Responsibilities
- Independently own 1-2 sub-industries’ new business opportunities, and closely work with team leader and top management on key strategic development on new business to meet annual new business target. Sub-industries (IPGs) under the FMCG-retail group can include such as: FMCG, Apparel, Footwear, Sports, Luxury, Chain-stores across varied spectrum of service type, such as foodservice, luxury, retailers, etc.
- Seek and develop business opportunities in FMCG/Retail/Retailer industry
through effective communication with both multi-national and local manufacturers, with heavily target at potential local client as for Corporate long-term strategy on developing the local clients with world-class market research and consulting services
- Work as consultative experts both internal and external when developing new clients with reliable and pinpointing business solution, work as an independent business advisor to top management team at client side while align constant communication internally to shape appropriate proposal and strategic solutions.
- To leverage Nielsen Greater China’s key Business Unit’s expertise and closely with varied service team to develop key client roadmap, business issue alignment and solution design. Spectrum of business and solution will include all the most-updated research/consulting solutions, such as Retail Measurement Services, Consumer Research (Quantitative and Qualitative), Retailer Service (RSU), BASES (New Product Development), Media, Online, Analytical Consulting etc.
- Being a great integrator of Nielsen sources to provide new clients with pinpointing and dedicated service and solutions, as a key of winning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree holder with major in marketing, business administration or equivalent;
- Self-motivated and “can-do” attitude with strong new business development initiatives
- Strategic thinking with typical growth type of personality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin
- Good command of PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- 5+ years Sales / Business Development working experience, including at least 3 years experience in Consulting, Research, Fast-moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or Retailing field.
- Market Research experience is a plus.
- Team spirit and strong capability to work well in a team environment and result-driven attitude.
