The GMU PureSystem Technical Enablement Manager's main objective is to ensure that the broad GMU Channel community (Channel Partners, Systems Integrator, independent Software Vendors,...) is correctly enabled on PureSystem's portfolio, value proposition and positioning in order to achieve STG Channel PureSystem's sales target .
He provides guidance to GMT's on how effectively transfer Product knowledge, skills and solution expertise to the channel. He monitors progress, delivers some of the enablement activities and feed back channel enablement needs to STG Education, Labs, Services,...
As part of his/her responsibility , he/she is managing the PoC/Loaner/Demo program and ensure that Clients and BP are reaching the goal defined within the program.
In performing his role, he is working closely with PureSystems Tiger team, STG technical resources, BPO, New Routes, IDR and other IBM brands (SWG, GTS,...) at GMU, GMT and WW level.
Responsibilities:
Works with IBM GMT team to identify and enable key PureSystems partners in order to drive this new business. That pre-sales activity may involve giving demonstrations, presentations, white boarding, etc
Works with IBM Education and Enablement teams to define Channel Technical learning programs. Build end deliver technical presales bootcamps and mock implementations available via remote virtual environement.
Develops a strong understanding of PureSystem associated technologies and anticipate which skills will be associated with new product releases.
Captures and disseminates best practices and learning paths to rapidly train new resources.
Develops and execute a Channel PureSystems enablement strategy and leverage STG investment to enable ISV/CSI solutions on PureSystems. Stimulate inclusion of STG offerings within ISV/SI solutions.
Manages PoC Program with clarity and give clear directions to local teams to ensure business success
Develops win-win environment with partners to build long term commitments.
Defines metrics and establish a measurement system to monitor effectiveness of channel enablement.
Skills:
Understands partners, and ISV's organization and culture, business model and objectives.
Builds relationships with senior executives, and key technical leaders.
Understands how to manage plays in IBM
Understands where STG can play a role the partners’ business, organization and strategy
Has experience with Sales and/or Technical Sales in IBM
Resources
Works with allocated STG and IBM Technical resources in general to define and execute enablement strategies
Coordinates and works with GMT teams executing PoC program
Integrates IBM in front of the partner in collaboration with the cross IBM resource
Identifies and coordinates local and global IBM resources including Executive, Sales and Technical
Required
High School Diploma/GED
Good Communication and Presentation Skills
Ability and Willingness to Travel (50%)
At least 5 years experience with and good expertise on IBM HW and SWG product portfolio
At least 5 years experience in Technical Sales solution with engagement experience. Experience within or with a Business Partner/SI/ISV/CSI is a plus
At least 5 years experience in Understand how STG and IBM brand offerings can be incorporated into partner/customer solutions
English: Fluent. Knowledge of additional GMU languages is a plus (Mandarin, Portugese, Spanish, Korean, Arabic, Russian, Turkish,...)
