The Client Profile & Background:

The Client is a German leading manufacturer of high-quality endoscopes, used in human medicine as well as in industrial applications. With more than 100 years of experience, 1.500 qualified staff are active in over 125 countries worldwide.

The products are used in several disciplines such as arthroscopy, surgery, gynecology, laparoscopy, urology and visualization. The professional industrial endoscopes are used in quality inspections or preventative maintenance, e.g. in aviation industry.

In order to drive the growth in China, the Client is looking for 3 ambitious regional Business Development Managers responsible for the following regions:

Position: Business Development Manager
East/ South East China incl. Shanghai
Location: Shanghai Office

General responsibilities of the position:

- Expansion of the sales and marketing organization in China
- Support sales & service in order to provide an ideal market penetration
- Increase the efficiency of the regional distribution channels in China
- Coordinate the sales activities of the different distributors
- Overall support and cooperation with the dealers in a dedicated region
- Frequent joint customer visits together with distributors
- Identify and develop new dealers
- General planning, organization and execution of (regional) marketing actions in China: campaigns, trade shows, workshops
- Data administration and maintenance e.g. competitors, pricing, strategies and activities
- Initiate special sales campaigns and pricing strategies in close cooperation with the Area Sales Management in Germany
- Training of distributors and customers
- Responsible for customer requirements, customer satisfaction
- Strategic product planning according to the individual market needs
- Annual coordination and approval of the business goals and sales targets with the management and Area Management
- Continuous coordination and communication with the Area Sales Management


Requirements:

- University degree or similar education in economics, medicine, engineering
- Understanding of the Chinese Health Care system is a must
- Experience in health care/ medical engineering
- State accredited diploma or professional title of the relevant major as a basis for medical device trading (necessary for the SH position)
- Ideally 5-10 years working experience, highly talented young professionals also accepted
- Medicine affinity, able to participate in a surgery
- Open, dynamic, talkative
- Honest, trustworthy
- Chinese talent, native Mandarin, good English written and spoken

Reporting, Subordinates and Other Relationships:

- Reporting to the Office & Administration Manager the HQ in Germany
