Responsibilities
Provide high quality technical support to the sales team and JM customers, to JM global standards, in order to achieve differentiation for JM offerings over competition and achieve supplier of choice status for JM:
Generate a customer technical support plan at the beginning of each year, in discussion with the sales team, based on relative importance of each customer, and monitor customer plant data at regular intervals as per the plan.
Identify opportunities for technical engagement with each customer to demonstrate value and give solutions.
Conduct analysis of plant data and recommend solutions to improve plant operations through sales team, taking support from other Beijing/UK based engineering team as appropriate.
Attain full understanding of customer flowsheets.
Provide on-site support (advisory or supervisory) as required for catalysts loading, reduction/activation/commissioning, passivation and discharge to JM standards.
Follow systems and ensure all databases are kept fully up to date with market, customer information
Will live AMOG EHS policy in practice and treat it as a business priority
Requirements to reach effective performance
General attainment equivalent to:
Degree in Chemical engineering or Master in Chemistry
Job related work experience skills/knowledge requirements:
2-5 years work experience in large-scale chemical plant operations
Experience in Syngas manufacture would be preferred
Skilled to run required JM softwares
High degree of integrity
Capable of working with minimum supervision
Good verbal and written English skills will be desirable
Ability to relate to different level of customer organisation
Proven ability to provide technical support at customer site and do plant troubleshooting will be desirable.
Ability to provide expertise and guidance in catalysts loading, plant start-up, reduction and normal operations.
Computing abilities to do simulations and run programmes for unit operations.
Willing to travel 100-150 days a year
