Role of this position:
The mechanical design engineer is responsible for developing new products and the systems which will be used to produce them. The design engineer undertakes extensive research to determine whether a new product will be cost effective. This involves using CAD to produce technical plans and working with prototypes. The job also involves collecting and analyzing data and producing detailed reports for management and clients.

Responsibility:
-Design and optimization of mechanical components for commercial vehicle
-Sub components and components include chassis structure, running gear and bodies
-Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with internal company standards
-Define and create bill of materials
-Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
-Research and analyze customer requirements, specifications, manuals, and other data
-To evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
-Support supplier sourcing and evaluate the supplier from technique point, do design review with supplier to make them under control
-Working together with purchasing, quality, product management, production, suppliers and customers

Requirements:
-Master university degree in Mechanical Engineering and more than 5 years of experience in the field
-Two or more years’ experience as design engineer
-Understanding of design and engineering procedures
-Experience in using state of the art product development tools
-Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, attention to details
-Strong project management skills and ability to get things done
-Advanced computer skills, particular with standard CAD (CATIA, PROE) and ERP (SAP) systems and Microsoft Office applications
-Ability to present ideas in a business friendly and user-friendly language
-High level of written and spoken English, German is a plus
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
