Job Title: (Senior) System Hardware Application Engineer

Department: Video R&D

Location: Shanghai

Descriptions:

- The candidate will be responsible for supporting the customer to develop Blu-ray Disc player, DTV, set-top box and Digital Media Player products using Marvell Media Processor SoC:

- Support customers for hardware design base on existing Marvell reference design, that includes design and review for schematics and layout, H/W bring-up and test, debug and trouble-shooting.

- As a channel for communication between customers and Marvell R&D team. Gather requirements from customers, present demo and application notices to customers.

- Maintain technical knowledge database

Qualifications:

- BSEE+ 5 /MSEE + 3 years of applicable experience in field of system hardware.

- Degree in Electronics Engineering, or other related disciplines.

- Experience in customer support is necessary.

- Work experience on DTV, DVD/Blu-Ray disc players, digital set-top box or Digital media is preferred.

- Experienced in high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuit design and troubleshooting.

- Knowledge of DDR SDRAM, SATA, HDMI, PCI-E, USB, SDIO, NAND, IIC, UART, SPI, ADC/DAC power regulators, and power management.

- EMI/ ESD management & reduction experience.

- Be able using EDA tools for schematics (OrCAD) and PCB (PADS, Allegro) design and review.

- Good understanding of the full design cycle and manufacturing requirements of the end products.

- Working knowledge in design verification and performance evaluation using lab equipments.

- Knowledge of video and audio compression standards, video processing techniques and digital TV broadcasting standards desired.

- Knowledge of ARM processors and embedded software is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills, strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Self-starter and organized.

- Available to travel.

- Be able to write and read in English.

- Be curious and eager to find the best solutions to complex challenges.

- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to ever changing technical challenges.

- Good in teamwork.
