Duties & Responsibilities
Overview of role purpose
You will be responsible for China Capex & Indirect Category Procurement Management . In focus are the following China categories: Machine sourcing, negotiation & Indirect integration project, and key indirect category cost control of China.
Responsibilities:
1. Take a leadership role to define and build China sourcing & procurement strategy for segments above of Capex & indirect spend. Develop and implement appropriate China procurement strategies/initiatives for above mentioned Capex & indirect spend services, and organize & drive the indirect integration
2. Organize the whole procurement process for Capex & indirect spend services: definition of the needs of your internal clients, organization of requests for tender, selection of suppliers, negotiation and deployment of contracts
3. Ensure cost-efficient sourcing/procurement of products & services with a balanced focus on customer service and cost savings. Identify new trends or innovations for savings, cost avoidance or added value benefits.
4. Ensure total cost of ownership approach, including tax benefit through selected sourcing hubs.
5. Ensure implementation of results: ensure cross-functional engagement, ensure reporting and target achievement, ensure capability upgrades and talent development
6. Work with cross function department comprising initiatives, analyse/optimise processes, standards and tools, develop best practices/frameworks, ensure the knowledge transfer within plants and outside
7. Organize the purchasing data collection, data analysis , monthly procurement report by plants.
8. Support AFAP Capex & indirect manager work, support plants procurement manager daily work.

1. Financial: Delegation of authority for purchases and contracts
2. Balance achievement of cost savings for (category & South ) and quality supply outcomes
3. Obtain compliance from functional stakeholders for China agreements
Key internal relationships
1. Functional stakeholders
2. Commercial operations personnel
3. Finance personnel
Key external relationships:
Cultivate strategic external relationships on behalf of Amcor with key stakeholder groups including suppliers, researchers, analysts, etc.
2. Qualifications and Requirements
Formal Qualifications and Experience
? Minimum five years of relevant experience in a purchasing role as a buyer, preferably in an international environment. Here, you have demonstrated category expertise and sourcing/procurement experience.
Practical/Technical and Specialist Skills
? Strong strategic-conceptual thinking: e.g., demonstrated experience in developing best practice procurement processes (from strategy to operations/implementation)
? Understanding of general finance and make/buy analysis. Familiarity with continuous improvement. Understanding of contractual terms and conditions and how to mitigate risk
? Excellent analytic, problem solving, team building, project management, strategic development and change management skills with ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
? Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to interact and collaborate with various levels of people internally and externally, from senior executives to individual contributors
? Fluent in English
? Understanding and strong commitment to ethical purchasing behaviors
