The Software Engineer (SE) will participate in the full development life cycle including: requirements analysis, design, code development, and implementation. They will be responsible for enhancement and sub system development. They must have object oriented development skills, superior communications abilities, be self-motivated and be able to multi-task effectively.
The SE authors application logic to implement server side functionality in multi-tier applications. The SE is an expert in server-side technologies. SEs work closely with front-end production team to integrate front-end and back-end effectively. SEs typically join a project team during Discovery phase of the project to assist in the development of Engineering Requirements. Fluent English speaker is preferred.
Skills / Qualifications:
1.Knowledge object oriented development.
2.Knowledge in .NET 3+years
3.PHP (is a plus)
4.Intermediate knowledge with Web development standards and architectures.
5.Working knowledge of Web browsers, HTML, and other interactive development languages.
6.Working knowledge of Windows, and Unix client environments (Mac a plus).
7.Intermediate knowledge of RDBMS and SQL programming is a must.
8.Experience in a digital design/production or other client-services environment a plus.
9.Experience assessing and implementing quality processes and process improvements with software development environments a big plus.
10.Flexible person with the ability to work in a collaborative environment with Line Producers, Consultants, Project Managers, Producers, etc.
11.Strong attention to detail.
12.Ability and desire to deliver projects on time, with high quality.
13.Ability and desire to thrive in a high-pressure, client-services entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities:
1.Produce detailed software specifications within the context of a project, working with other departments to ensure that the specifications are clear and concise
2.Participate in code reviews.
3.Work with Quality Engineer in implementing and improving quality standards and processes
4.Assist in the creation of technical documentations.
5.Keep abreast of changes in browser capabilities and multimedia development standards.
6.Work with Front-end Developers, Creative and Project Management to assure the delivery of a quality product.
7.Drive innovation of the design and code to improve its overall quality, reliability and speed of implementation
8.Responsible for the planning and execution of agreed project deliverables
