Job Description:

Certify Teradata Partner software with Aster Database and Client releases for Aster owned certifications such as Cognos, Informatica, Microsoft SSIS, and Business Objects, on multiple operating system environments. Including but not limited to, Windows and Linux. Be responsible for executing the entire certification process from system setup to updating the interoperability matrix. Develop and test ODBC and JDBC applications as required to recreate Partner issues and test new functionality and features that are delivered in the Partner releases. Provide technical support to the Teradata Integration Labs team when Partners require Aster handling, and assist Aster Engineering with the problem isolation. Contribute to the Aster development cycle by 1) reviewing user documentation, 2) verifying fixes that are associated with Partner software that is onsite at Aster, 3) participate in Aster Beta Program, and 4) reviewing Best Practices documents. Identify interoperability gaps in the Teradata Unified Data Architecture (UDA). Incorporate the use and verification of Teradata products such as Teradata Studio Express, Viewpoint, TPT, and DataMover with the Aster Database.

Required Qualifications

- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline

- (2+) years of software development experience in C and C++, Java

- (2+) years of development and debug experience on UNIX platforms (i.e. AIX, Solaris, Linux) as well as UNIX administration

- Experience in developing UNIX scripts and Python programs

- Knowledge of the ODBC and/or JDBC specifications.

- Knowledge of Databases and the SQL language.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of ETL and BI tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, Microstrategy, Informatica, Microsoft SSIS

- ODBC and JDBC development experience.

- Database Administration experience
