Job Description
Position: Business Development Director
Report to: Technical Director in Germany
Responsible team: direct reports of 2-5 people
Mission
- To establish market development strategy for China and have comprehensive understanding of the customers in China
- To synchronize the way of managing projects and customers between Germany and China and create transparent working space and collaboration within the Group globally
- To respond to the market’s demand and change and increase company`s business
Tasks
- Implement key account management system (SOP`s)
- Implement & maintain efficient Customer`s Relationship Management
- Maintain & implement communication systems between key accounts (in China and Global)
- Develop and implement transparent communication channels China/Germany/Global
- Increase offer portfolio by summing local & global products (including via importing)
- Implement Project management system in accordance with global procedure
- Develop strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets
- Implements national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
- Develop & implement efficient customer`s relationship management.
- Assure & supervise customer`s deliverable.
Profile and competencies
Required
- Exposure and experience with working standard, systematic project management of western companies’ style
- Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and English
- Project Management or sales management experience in technical project management, such as transportation(trains), infrastructure, or aerospace manufacturing environment
- A minimum work experience of 7 years with 5 years in the sales or key account responsibilities
- High negotiation skills and good business acumen in planning, forecasting and managing projects
- Lived abroad outside of China (Study, work or others) International exposure to understand different way of thinking
- Affinity to (electrical) technical products
- Diplomacy and patience in dealing with different ways of working
- Ability to take initiative and leadership
Ideal
- Has the network and business experience with train business
- Has experience in strategic marketing and sales management role within the transportation / automotive or other industries
- Has studied and worked outside of China, ideally in Europe / Germany
- Studied electrical engineering, sensor technologies or similar
