Job summary:
The Red Hat Finance team is seeking an Accountant to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will serve as a key member of the finance team, providing tax support for our business in Greater China. You'll need excellent organization and communication skills to respond to inquiries, coordinate audits, manage filing calendars, and gather information for internal procedures. The Finance team will count on you to ensure that our processes are properly documented and in compliance with regional regulations. This role will be focused on tax compliance 80% of the time, with some tax advisory exposure.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Provide tax support to the assigned region
Maintain and coordinate compliance and statutory calendar for the region
Manage accounting records in order to support corporate tax with FIN 48 analysis by country
Aid the corporate tax department by gathering information for filings
Prepare indirect filings for the business in China and other locations in the region
Perform internal control procedures and document the process
Respond to inquiries from the regional and corporate headquarters
Support transfer price analysis by providing and maintaining appropriate documentation
Assist with tax queries from tax authorities

Required skills:

5-10 years of relevant tax compliance experience
Familiarity with statutory requirements for corporate income tax and indirect filings in Greater China
Knowledge of tax laws and regulations in the region
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong financial analysis skills
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline
