The Role:
The post-holder will identify, deliver and monitor student recruitment opportunities through the development and implementation of a marketing plan for target audiences in China; raising the profile of the College and successfully helping to achieve the outcomes that advance the College’s international strategy.
Responsibilities:
Represent King’s across a range of marketing activities in-country at overseas education and recruitment exhibitions as well as undertake independent visits within the territory and deliver presentations about the College at various events and organisations;
. Conduct regular visits to and relationship management of the College’s agent representatives in China
. Develop effective working relationships with a range of relevant external audiences
. Identify, develop and encourage appropriate academic partners overseas.
. Assist with drafting and preparing international marketing materials and presentations for the China;
. Advise colleagues within King’s on opportunities relating to the Chinese market, and provide marketing intelligence on relevant areas impacting marketing and student recruitment within the region.
. Support colleagues and academic staff when in China on University business;

Skills & Qualifications:
. Relevant professional qualification or equivalent
. Graduate of King’s College London or another London University (preferred)
. At least four years’ work experience in a relevant environment
. Experience in recruitment of Chinese students for UK-based higher education programmes (strongly preferred)
. Able to work long hours under pressure
. Excellent oral and written skills in Mandarin and English
. Knowledge of the UK Higher Education sector
. Knowledge of the international higher education sector
. Self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic
. Ability to work flexibly, as necessary, to meet targets
. Ability to travel extensively in China for student recruitment, for periods of up to two weeks
. Able to plan and carry out detailed market research, and to act upon findings
. at a time.
Educated to degree level
The job holders will report administratively to CBBC’s office managers in Beijing, and functionally will report to and be supported by King’s College London in the UK.
