Position: Creative Director (Digital Practice)
Location: Shanghai

This role will oversee the creative output of Edelman Digital China and also evangelize and oversee conceptual development of creative ideas across the agency as a whole, especially consumer-oriented clients, projects and programs.

The individual will have experience working in a mainstream advertising and/or digital agency environment and will be skilled in turning data-informed strategic planning into singular creative ideas that can be scaled across multiple channels.

The individual will be able to lead art directors, copywriters and technologists in bringing these ideas to life and work with content creators (online and offline) to ensure original concepts always remain fresh and can be continuously scaled.

The role will have a critical function as relates to integration: working with PR teams to ensure mainstream AND emerging media activity is all built on central, conceptual ideas and help guide both existing and new clients in this direction.

Qualification:
- 8-10 years experience in agency environments
- Five years hard-line studio m’ment experience
- Formal digital, art and/or copy-based training
- Ability to lead, coordinate and present pitches
- Ability to foster team-based, client-focused collaboration and mentor staff
- Affinity with consumer products and ability to manage consumer clients

Primary Responsibilities:

- Build studio resources and around the individual’s own skillset i.e. copy-based means a focus on recruiting art-based individuals and vice versa
- Work with digital leader/strategist and practice leads (esp. consumer) to proactively identify and pitch integrated opportunities with PR clients
- Lead integrated pitches as necessary/determined by client brief or scale: may require coordinating PR, social and digital skills in/out
- Build creative delivery ecosystem: photographers, directors, producers, illustrators, post-production specialists/supervisors and third party firms
- Support internal training activity relating to creativity, content, concepts
