THE COMPANY

Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast–growing global company specialising in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market is looking to recruit an Accountant to assist the Office Manager for Peak China in our Shanghai office.

We are an award winning company, with our head office based in Glasgow, United Kingdom and have a very strong reputation in the market place. We export 90% of our sales to approximately 126 countries and we have overseas offices including the USA, Brazil, China, South Africa, Australia, Japan and Singapore and are planning to set up more in the near future.
POSITION
Reporting to the Office Manager, this new role will provide critical support to the smooth running of the business and as Accountant you will be responsible for:
? Be responsible for monthly financial closing, budgeting and forecasting, prepare the month-end financial report to HQ
? Finish Joint Annual Inspection of Overseas Investment and annual clearance of Corporation Income Tax
? Working closely with Finance outsourcing service provider to monitor our profit and loss. Improving accounting system & process flow
? Serving as company liaison with Finance outsourcing service provider and Finance department in HQ
? Translation the finance report as required.
? Maintain and update EFACS system.
? Supporting the service team to make the quotation to customers.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Skills required
? Detail oriented with exemplary organization skills
? 3 to 5 years relevant experience in accounting operational Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principle including Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
? Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications
? Strong knowledge of tax regulation/rules and accounting standards
? Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial
? Good skills in Microsoft Office suite -- Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
? Must be proactive, responsive and resourceful
? Good command of oral and written English
? A relevant college or university degree
