POSITION: Compliance Officer, China

SCOPE:
Reporting to the Global Legal Group, the Compliance Officer will develop, implement, maintain and review the company’s compliance programs in China. The incumbent will ensure compliance with legislative, industry and corporate requirements and advise the business in relation to all Compliance related matters. Additionally, this position supports the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs and auditing functions within China.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Serve as Compliance Officer for China working as part of the AB Sciex legal team to provide compliance oversight and support for all China business activities in the areas of: anti-corruption, data privacy, EH&S, and medical device sales.
· Ensure business activity compliance with global compliance program requirements by:
o Developing and implementing local procedures reflecting local regulatory requirements as necessary;
o Providing compliance advice and guidance on the China go-to-market strategy and growth initiatives ensuring associated compliance risks are properly identified and addressed;
o Developing and implementing auditing/monitoring program; and
o Developing and conducting compliance training program to address local business risks.
· Monitor updates to local regulatory requirements in all areas of responsibility, and implement program changes as necessary.
· Lead compliance investigations and serve as primary point of contact for compliance inquiries for China associates.
· Ensure company’s sites in China obtain and maintain all required licenses and permits, such as dangerous good licenses.
· With support of Global EH&S group, implement required training, processes, investigations and audits to comply with company policies and local laws.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
· University level with bachelor degree or above; with compliance certifications/credentials preferred.
· 7 years or above industry-relevant experience with experience in compliance position in a multinational company and in the life sciences industry.
· Experience with PRC and Corporate Life Sciences practices and regulations, products and services, as well as EH&S requirements.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results in a timely manner.
· Ability to work under pressure as part of a global team.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Fluency in Mandarin and English (i.e. speak, read & write).
· Self-motivated, positive attitude with teamwork spirit.
