Responsibilities:

Responsible to provide subsurface application,mapping (ARCGIS) and data management support for a team of between 8-12 technical professionals.

Responsibility for supporting multiple concurrent projects using a large variety of applications.

Responsible for identifying both internal and external sources of G&G,engineering and related data (various map layers).

Accountable for the quality of the evaluation data,including geodetic integrity,that underpins decision making and growth investment proposals.

Accountable to build and maintain workflows for the various data gathering and manipulation required by the Exploration team.

Accountable to maintain key linkage and interface with the various teams in Onshore Exploration (Americas) and other key stakeholder departments to ensure useful sharing of skills, technical information, and G&G data.

The position will involve personal creativity, effective project management, stakeholder relations, and delivery of quality products.

Requirements:

Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full time basis for anyone othere than their current employer.

Minimum of Geoscience Bachelors degree.

5 - 10 years experience in exploration and new ventures/business development.

The incumbent must be able to work in a fast moving environment while concurrently supporting multiple team projects.

The ability to prioritize work with the aid of project/team leaders is essential. In addition, you will be expected to have a broad knowledge of subsurface (geosciences and engineering) data, plotting, data conversion, MSOffice software (e.g. Petrel, Petrosys, LandMark, OpenSpirit, CANVAS, EXCEL, PowerPoint) and a strong working knowledge and current experience with the ARCGIS mapping package.

You will need to be familiar with regional geological studies and Exploration, Appraisal and Development data needs and workflows. This includes being able to discuss G&G concepts and data with team professionals and assembling data from a wide variety of sources, both internal and external.

You will need to have demonstrated effective data management practices with previous experience in a leading role being an asset
