Responsibilities:

The scheduler manages both reactive and preventive backlog to produce an optimized baseline Maintenance Schedule for execution.
Generate optimized and fully resources loaded schedule for the Assigned Production unit.
Ensure all Safety Critical,LTOs,Preventive Maintenance (PM),Corrective Maintenance (CMs) etc. WOs are properly scheduled to meeting their respective Latest Allowable Finish Dates (LAFD).
Pursue for opportunities where CM &PM jobs on the same equipment or the same production line can be bundled together for schedule optimization,minimize production down time and maximize resource utilization.(campaign maintenance).
Coordinate with maintenance coordinators/team leads as appropriate on resource availability. Ensure resource conflicts are resolved.
Generate “Ready to Schedule” WO backlog and review with Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) /Maintenance Coordinator (MC)
Provide “Ready to Schedule” Work Centre forecast for next rolling 90 days.
Act as an enabler for Maintenance execution to optimize the utilization of available craft resources.
Maintenance schedule priorities are integrated with Production to drive the organization to deliver short term and long-term performance.

Work with OMC/OC/MC where LAFDs need revision to suit business plan.
Maintain a shared ownership of Maintenance Execution KPIs and act as an enabler to meet or exceed the targets. Maintain a tally of reasons for WOs that did not meet compliance to help investigation and learnings.
Generate,publish and maintain Milestone Schedules for important maintenance events that require special focus.
Analyze and correct site specific scheduling data integrity issues


Requirements:



10+ years Experience in Plant Maintenance Organization that includes minimum 5 years experience in Sr. Planner/Scheduler capacity.
Trade or Technologist Certification
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics and technical literature. Possesses a strong desire to acquire solid understanding of Operational and Maintenance activities of the assigned production unit.
The individual must be a go-getter, displays independency from others and does not hesitate to go out in the field to acquire information as necessary.
Highly skilled in SAP-GWAS/ equivalent CMMS scheduling tool, Excel Spreadsheets. Experience with MS project and Primavera 6 is a plus.
Capacity to lead and informally influence others in the organization to achieve optimal results
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to multi-task, work independently with minimal supervision
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Demonstrate high quality work standards
Strong relationship building skills
