Job Description for Senior Business Analyst (Asia Life)


Life Asia knowledge preferable

1) Collecting, understanding, and transmitting the business requirements for the project, and translating these into business requirement document, software requirement document.

2) Analyze and document business processes.

3) Document workflows and results of business analysis and obtain sign-off from client on the specifications.

4) Provide the link between the client, development team and any third party regarding software functionality, throughout the development lifecycle.

5) Provide support to corporate function in preparing and translating different business brochure and document in English language.

6) Produce reports for the project manager/leader showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.



Skills / Attributes Required

1) Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal clients to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Business Requirements Document, Software Requirement Document, prototype, Screen and Interface designs)

2) Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language and popular notation language like UML as required.

3) Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

4) Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers or leaders

5) Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

6) Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

7) Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.

8) End to end experience of the project lifecycle

9) Results orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills

10) Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.

11) Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

12) Domain knowledge/5 - 8 years of working experience in Life Insurance.

13) Working experience of Life Asia system is a Must.

14) Work location: Shanghai office or Shanghai Client office
