GENERAL SUMMARY:

The eCommerce editor is an integral member of the Gap China team, creating contents for www.gap.cn and other digital channels. This person will help to develop product and site content in Chinese, working with both internal and external partners especially with photographers, models, celebrities and makeup/hair artists to deliver product message to customers. The editor reports to and works closely with the eCommerce Editorial Manager. As part of an eCommerce team in a start-up phase, this person must be a strategic, initiative-taking individual with great communication skills, who is passionate about Fashion and eCommerce.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create, proof-read and self-edit site content that clearly communicates product and marketing messages
- Create dynamic editorial content to support merchandising objectives. Ensure that the story/product message reflects current trends in the marketplace and meets customers' needs
- Work with Visual Merchant Team & photography team closely to make sure product styling well present brand spirit
- Select models and photographers, monitor product/marketing shooting and review photos to make sure delivering product messages on time
- Create seasonal editorial content to drive business, promote sales increase
- Keep bringing fresh ideas & talented people in, keep site stand out in our competitors

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Fashion Editor/ Stylist/ Website Background a plus
- B.A. in Visual Merchant, Fine Arts, Fashion related field
- 2 - 3 years experience in creative or editorial
- Familiar with fashion industry with self-own talents pool
- Fine Taste and familiar with Fashion Trends
- Bi-lingual: Chinese and English
- Takes initiative, comfortable with ambiguous environments
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Stable and loyal
- Well-versed in Microsoft Word, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet programs

Note:
The editor would possibly work 3 days in Studio, 2 days in Office a week.
